About the Founder
Muskingum Commercial Roofing was founded by Daniel Petersheim, a certified and factory-trained commercial and residential roofing contractor with more than a decade of hands-on experience in the roofing industry.
Daniel’s roofing experience began long before the company was established. He started working on residential roofing projects at just 14 years old, learning the trade from the ground up. Over the years, he developed extensive experience in both residential and commercial roofing systems, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the industry.
Daniel launched the commercial branch of the company in 2016 with a clear mission: to raise the standard of commercial roofing through honest communication, quality craftsmanship, and long-term client relationships.
Before starting the company, Daniel was born and raised Amish for the first 26 years of his life. Growing up in that environment instilled in him a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a deep respect for doing things the right way. Those values continue to shape the culture of Muskingum Commercial Roofing today and remain a foundation for how the company approaches every project.
Like many small businesses, the company began with humble beginnings. In the early years, Daniel ran the business from a spare room in his home, working long hours to earn the trust of local businesses and build a reputation for reliability and quality workmanship. As the company continued to grow, Daniel and his wife, Lacey, invested in a permanent location where they now proudly operate and manage the business together.
Daniel continues to work in the field and remains directly involved in projects. His hands-on experience allows him to understand that roofing is more than just materials—it’s about preparation, precision, and long-term performance. To ensure the company stays current with the latest materials, installation methods, and industry standards, Daniel continues to attend manufacturer trainings and professional development courses each year.
Today, Muskingum Commercial Roofing has built a reputation for professionalism, dependability, and craftsmanship throughout the region. While Daniel continues to grow the company and expand its reach, his vision remains the same: to build a company that grows while always holding onto the trusted, small-town values it was founded on.
